Geraldton Residential College - We Care

Travel

Most students who attend the Geraldton Residential College are eligible for Subsidised Travel.  The Department of Planning and Infrastructure has the Defined Remote Area map on their website that shows who will qualify for the Student Subsidised Travel Scheme and how to apply for this assistance.   Subsidised travel provides up to four return trips from your home address to the college, one for each term.  This travel can not be issued to and from any other address than that of your home and the college.

The College is not responsible for booking students travel, therefore you will need to organise this yourself through your travel provider.

We are happy to provide a bus run service to pick up and drop off students to and from their travel provider.  Once at the college, students will learn how to book bus runs.  If a student travels home for the weekend then it is up to them to book their own bus runs.  If they are unable to do this, then a phone call from parents must be received at least an hour prior to their arrival time to allow us time to schedule the bus run around other commitments.
